Pantone 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warm, rich brown shade that evokes comforting winter beverages...

Pantone is the colour reference for the world of design and fashion. And why not for gastronomy too, with its colour 2025. This color is a reference for artists, fashion creators and designers.

The world's colour specialist, Pantone was founded in 1963 and offers a universal colour language that facilitates decisions at every stage of production for all brands and manufacturers.

More than 10 million designers and manufacturers worldwide rely on its products and services.

The Pantone Color Institute offers personalised colour standards and advice on brand identity and product colour.

It also publishes trend forecasts in its ‘Color of the Year’ advert. And 2025 - indirectly - puts the spotlight on gastronomy.

For 2025, the institute has selected Pantone 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warm, rich brown shade that nourishes the desire for comfort by evoking subtle hints of cocoa, chocolate and coffee.

Here too, it can be an excellent opportunity for fine food shops to showcase products that have been highlighted at Gourmet Selection in a new Mocha Mousse décor.

Chocolate, for example, is one of the most popular gourmet products at the show.

Some thirty exhibitors showcased it - in its ‘raw’ state or in biscuits and pastes - at the last edition of the show. Just like coffee, the aroma of which wafted from some twenty stands in September 2024.

A list of last year's exhibitors can be found on the Gourmet Selection website.

On the Pantone website, you can discover the many designers who have worked on the colour of the year. Notably the luxury tea brand Tealeaves. It took inspiration from Pantone 17-1230 Mocha Mousse to create a black tea with a hint of cocoa mixed with camomile, cinnamon and dandelion root.
